Into the woods

The first day of spring break required some cross-country skiing. My friend Heather and I drove up to an area west of Laramie. There is a lot of snow there but it had been heavily skied over the weekend and there were a lot of icy spots. We did a 5k loop and I was definitely ready to stop when we were done. Heather is my age and just won the gold in the Wyoming Senior Olympics in the 5K cross-country ski event. Needless to say I was a little worried my slower pace would frustrate her. She was great and said I did really well. This was my 3rd time back on skis and I was really out of balance a lot because of the snow conditions.
The rest of the day was spent on setting up vison and dental appointments and applying for my Wyoming drivers license, which took around 2 hours... I'm so glad it's done though.
