Never Backwards (Nunquam Retrorsum)

…is the motto on a golden coin from 1754, made in the Duchy of Braunschweig (Brunswick), now part of Lower Saxony, Germany. This large replica was integrated into the front of Holzminden’s branch of the Landessparkasse (Regional Savings Bank) when built in 1972. Revised on a two days’ trip to the Upper Weser region. A view of the Weser valley shortly after sunset as an extra, with Köterberg mountain (elev. 597 metres) in the distance. The second extra was taken at night on the quayside under the road bridge.
