life in the slow lane

The A1 in Newcastle about 4.30 this afternoon. 1 hour and 10 minutes of crawling. We had travelled from Cumbria this morning to visit family and were now heading south to stay overnight with daughter in North Yorkshire. At the Angel of the North the traffic jam cleared and so did the weather. Thank you Angel.
