I had decided that exercise was needed, at least a 5 mile walk, because most of tomorrow will be spent sitting down. Opened the front door and the rain started. I chickened out and went to the garden centre instead - 1½ mile round trip.

On the way home I noticed these deserted tables - for the hardy (or foolhardy) only in weather like this. As for the price of the soup - it just seems such a strange way of writing £4.50.
