J came this morning to help with putting up trellis and banging in the fence posts which are supporting my young hedge. Trellis was third time lucky- we decided to drill into the mortar as the bricks were far too hard. After he left I filled in all the holes we’d previously made and then walked up to the hairdresser. Nice to chat to ym as usual and I was happy with the results but she was busy so it took almost 2.5 hours. I was very bored by the end of it! Went home via m and s, had some lunch and then painted the trellis and did a couple of other jobs before getting changed and driving over to JRs. The traffic was very heavy so I was pleased I’d left home in good time. We went to her local Indian restaurant for an early dinner (excellent) and then she drove us the short distance into Mansfield to see Kinky Boots. It was an amateur production( one of her friends played one of the leads) but they were very good, particularly the man who played Lola. He had so much energy and owned the stage. Both of us thought he was s professional that they had hired to boost the cast, but that wasn’t the case. Drove home feeling very uplifted and humming the tunes. Was in bed just after 11- excellent!
