Back to Oz

I took Emma back to Heathrow today. She's decided to go back to Australia. She's been staying with us since I picked her up at the airport on 18 November (see that day's blip). Unfortunately things haven't worked out as she had hoped. She wasn't able to find a job that met her expectations but did get to.meet friends and former colleagues which was great. She also got to stand by the Tardis when she went with me to the BBC Radio Theatre, which was good fun. She does lovely cartoon type drawings and presented one she had done of the local coffee shop, Basil and Blue, to the shop and she was excited to find it had been framed and hung on the wall. So that's a nice memento of her visit. She'll be back in Perth, Western Australia tomorrow in rather hotter weather than she's been experiencing here over the last few months.
