Fairy Glen

We had a fairly relaxed day today after our efforts yesterday. We started at An Corran beach near Staffin where John was keen to find the footprints of the Megalosaurus which can be seen there. It looked a bit slippy on the seaweed covered rocks so I wandered out onto the beach. The light was lovely as you can see in my extra. John was pleased with his find as the can be hard to see with the water and seaweed.

Afterwards we drove across the peninsula to Uig to find the Rha Waterfall which is situated in some community woodland. It was an easy walk and a very pretty falls. You'll find a pic in the extras too. We then went down the road a short way to Fairy Glen, which is my main blip.

Apparently the area was formed 100,000 years ago by post glacier landslides and then sculpted by weather to make this strange landscape. I like this view of this conical hillock with a reflection in the pond that surrounds it.
