Beach Combing
I found this shell on our beach walk last week. There are lots of shells washed up on the sand where we walk, so much so they form a large bank at the back of the beach. They are mainly slipper limpets and quite sharp to the skin if you walk on them with bare feet or lean down with a hand to steady yourself as you sit to stare out to sea. Amongst the slipper limpets are other shells. This one, with its purple colouring, caught my eye. I've yet to check what type of creature would have lived in this shell but I am in admiration of the beauty of it's home.
Grateful:
- For a sunny day. It really felt like spring and was such a relief after so many weeks of wet weather.
- For homemade pizza for dinner.
- To harvest more rhubarb before I started work today.
