Don't like peas!

We were out for dinner this week. I fancied bangers and mash but they came with peas. Don't like peas. Ordering conversation went like this...

Me: Bangers and mash but no peas please (don't like peas)
Waitress: OK
Me: May I have a piece of the roast pumpkin instead? (had noticed this on menu)
Waitress: Ummmm. You would have to pay extra
Me: Could you not substitute it for me? Pumpkin instead of peas?
Waitress: No. Cos peas are, like, tiny.

Presumably I would have got more than one pea? But she would not be moved.
