Llyn Brenig
MONDAY
A drive over the Denbigh Moors and a 6 km walk around (part of) Llyn Brenig which straddles the counties of Denbighshire and Conwy . Constructed in the 1970s, the reservoir is the fourth largest lake in Wales with a surface area of 3.7 km2 and a capacity of 60 million m³.
High on the moors, at an elevation of 370m it was icy underfoot, although by the time I had finished my walk I had taken off my coat and gloves.
Breakfast afterwards at the visitor centre
