Saturday: Engagement

I spent the morning up in Belize City at a democracy building workshop focussed on good governance and transparency.  It was really good to meet some new people who are passionate about positive changes for Belize.

The facilitator, Jaco, is South African and still lives there.  I was very surprised when he mentioned that we had some mutual friends, Tom and Kevin, in Ottawa. I’ve had experiences of the world being quite small before but somehow I never expected to have it happen in Belize.

Home by early afternoon for a relaxing rest of the day.
