Ever decreasing circles

Sports day! I had difficulty finding a picture to upload today. There is a school rule that photos taken on the school premises must not be uploaded to social networking sites. I've made sure that the only child you can see is mine, and I gave my permission to upload this!

We went over to Dad's this afternoon to do a bit of gardening, he was in a right state when we got over there. Kept saying he was not long for this world, he'd asked the carer to give him all his tablets as he was in so much pain and he wanted to end it all. And why was he in this state? His rib was hurting and he was having a panic attack. A good talking to soon sorted that out. For a man who is determined to walk, even when the surgeons thought he had a 1 in 3 chance of never walking again, he sure plays the martyr when he gets a bruise!! My goodness he pushed me to the limit this afternoon. The carer who was with him was as good as useless. She called me (I was in the car already going over) but how can they keep expecting me to put my life on hold just to go over and tell him to sit up straight so his rib won't dig into his chest so much? I wish he was back at the care home, he had one carer in charge of him and they knew his pain limits, plus they knew when to tell him off. The many carers he sees now just mollycoddle him and he's losing his inner strength. Assisted living is definitely not the right thing for my Dad, not anymore.
