Ever decreasing circles

I popped over to see Dad for a few hours this morning. He had an ache in his ribs from where he fell the other day, but he seemed a lot brighter. I helped him get dressed and then changed the bed clothes and did a bit more spring cleaning. He finds it comforting just having someone to chat to.

Was meant to take my heavily pregnant friend out to lunch today. We walked down her road and then turned around and walked back again as her stomach tightening's were causing her too much pain. I don't envy her partner when she goes into labour, oh dear! So lunch was cancelled but I kept her chatting with the usual waffle and left her when she felt more relaxed.

Got home, had a late lunch, received a phone call. Dad's called the careline as he has pains in his chest so they're sending an ambulance. When I called him later, chest pains meant his aching ribs. The paramedics gave him two paracetamol and told him to rest. If they don't find him a care home soon, I may have to move him to the ambulance station to save them coming out all the time!
