The lavender route

The wind was blowing strong when we did our usual trip into the Drome region to see the lavender.
Unfortunately because of the late season the lavender wasn't yet fully out, but we did manage to see some colour, though not the very bright lavender blue of last year, and not the same hum of bees and perfume.

However it was still beautiful, and this time lots of different wild flowers as well as butterflies.

Not sure what the butterflies are, will have to look them up.
The village you can see is Vinsobres which we drove through on our war back.
Again wonderful views and a beautiful patchwork of fields.

Finished the day off with a BBQ. and a few bottles of wine!
Now bed!
Last day tomorrow before we start the journey back.
