The circle of life

As the old tree decays and is consumed by fungi its nutrients are returned to the soil to aid the new green growth and the spring daffs.

And that’s about as good as it got today. Had an early trip to get the car serviced this morning. By 11 the garage phoned to say it was done. We walked to collect it calling in for a coffee on the way. Came home £300 lighter - just for the service. No other problems thankfully.

A terrible afternoon. Cold rain, leaden skies… again. Susan worked in her studio. I worked on a book for a nephew then went for a paddle (run) around the streaming streets.

Glad to shut the curtains on another miserable day.
