Transformation

A much better day in most respects, especially the weather which was dry, sunny and not searingly cold. I followed the route of the Magnificent 11 to Castlemilk where I had hoped to see the snowdrops. I was too late and most had completely died back. The transformation of the Castlemilk Park Pond made the 17k there and back trek entirely worth it. It had been desilted in 2015 and until very recently was full of rubbish and no water. The badger setts were also in good shape with evidence of recent activity.
Lunch - lentil soup in the Jeely Piece and a catch up with one of the volunteers rounded off a good morning.
