Hórreos and paneras in Sietes

The main photo shows an area between houses in Sietes, in the concejo of Villaviciosa, where a number of hórreos have survived. The extras show more, in more detail. 
As you´ll see, all sorts of things end up under hórreos - teenagers or grandmothers can be lodged there, cars can be parked, tractors stored, washing hung out to dry. Interesting, perhaps, in the first extra, is the "potrero", which is  a wooden frame where a mare can be helped to give birth.
