Peonies

They came into bud and then opened into full bloom rather late this year - I wonder why?

Yesterday they were standing bolt upright and looking magnificent in the sunshine. Not so today, its rained ALL day and now the lovely Peonies are lying down having given up their fight against the heavy weight of raindrops. Even LARGER raindrops if you care to look

Glad it wasn't like this yesterday - makes being in the office more bearable on days like these though!!
