Pull......

I've had a lovely day off in my favourite town, Shrewsbury; (still desperately seeking Susan the SHO 'Bruce', but again without success!!), with my dear friend M. She lives in Abermule (Wales- ish, near Montgomery) and we decided to meet halfway. We had a leisurely lunch, a few glasses, lots of catch-up and I delivered her Birthday present at last: Eventually we had a walk by the River where we saw these Shrewsbury School boys being put through their paces, lots of shouting, lots of splashing and lots of effort too.

After a wee (?) bit of shopping we sat on a bench by M&S enjoying Cheshire Ice Creams in the sun listening to two wonderful young buskers (keyboards and bass) playing Jerry Lee Lewis numbers taking us back to the '50's. Then we departed on our Park 'n' Rides to our different destinations!!

I love my friend and she's given me ..... yet another book to read "The boy with the Topknot" by Sathnam Sanghera. At the moment it will have to go to the bottom of the pile!
