One from yesterday

I ordered some furniture from IKEA and was impressed that I could arrange to have it delivered to a local Tesco.  There was a narrow window of time and we arrived and were directed to a transit van at the back of the car park.  I showed the guy my order number and he had the paperwork but no furniture!  He couldn’t explain what had gone wrong but suggested we phone customer services.  Plan B was to drive to Greenwich to buy there instead.  We queued at customer services for around half an hour but was told online orders are dealt with differently than in store orders.  So cancelled the online order that had not been delivered (14 days for a refund!!) and decided to pick up the bits we needed.  Blah blah - this is getting boring but

OH lost and found wallet (but there was 30 minutes of anger, and me almost cancelling his cards)
Furniture not in stock at Greenwich so we drove to Lakeside
Bargain coffee and pastry
Desk not available so we changed plans
Home six hours later than originally planned.

But we reasoned that we are retired, life is full of frustrations but nobody died or lost an eye.

After a cup of tea OH put flat pack furniture together and now I have a lovely sewing/ craft room.  I’ll be sorting out sewing bits tomorrow and getting it organised.
