this is my grandfather's bible - his viewing is tonight and we will be burying the bible with him. as most of you know, i am not religious. however, i like artifacts and this is certainly one.

he had a very sarcastic sense of humor, as is evidenced by his commentary here - apparently he wasn't impressed that ryrie had chosen to name the bible after himself.

he used this bible daily, though there were certainly others, older and more valuable than this one. this one is interesting, though, because he has written in it throughout.
