Muybridge in a Forest

I had more time to sketch today, so I started by copying figures from my book of Muybridge photographic plates. I then began doodles from fabric patterns around them that developed into a plant scene.

I also incidentally had an '80s-themed media day. On Saturday a friend of mine was humming "Africa" by Toto, and "Careless Whisper" by George Michael which put the idea in my head. I thought it'd be fun to cook dinner to the "Top Gun" soundtrack, and the evening film for me and my partner was "Manhunter" by Michael Mann.

I'd had something more like "How to Get Ahead in Advertising" in mind, but that's pushing '90s really!
