Sunday Breakfast

Hubby volunteered to help prepare the meal for the CareNet “baby shower” today. Two friends and I started that event years ago. As we got older, we turned it over to the younger generation and they are doing a wonderful job. I went to Brooklyn’s first basketball playoffs game. Her team won by almost double the points of the other team. We were pleased with the sportsmanship displayed by both teams. Kim invited me to lunch; I decided to drive back to my former neighborhood instead. There is a county park there with waterfront. I took some pictures and liked this one the best. A food truck in the parking lot was selling donuts. If Kim had not just given me a fresh blueberry almond braid as thanks for staying with the kids, I may have checked it out. This couple was enjoying their donut breakfast on a bench at the water’s edge. The second pup was not interested in being photographed. I drove past my old home; the owners are taking good care of it. On the way home, I stopped for fried chicken at the best place in the county to get it. Then I tried to buy a replacement jacket for the one I lost, no luck. Hubby got home soon after I arrived. He dropped off some leftovers and headed out again to run errands. I finished laundry. Hubby bought us a new tv. I truly do not like chasing technology. But our equipment is too outdated to be compatible with other devices. We will see how long this one works. Not planning to turn it on tonight. I really want to read. Hoping you had a great weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Wishing you a peaceful Sunday morning filled with serenity and tranquility. May you find solace in the beauty of nature and the stillness of the morning.” - goodmorningwisher.com
