The Colour of Wheat

OK, really up to you to imagine... summer is here in Italy with the arrival of ripe wheat fields all over. This one was soft honey and toasted almonds in colour. Some of the other varieties are darker, more like a caramel.

Alternative title for today: Viano in the Valley.

Next week I will go for a mountain bike ride up these hills as I will stay at least one night. I can't wait!
