We took the bus to Saumarez Park and had a brief stop for coffee and cake before partaking of the other attractions: watching people feeding the ducks despite the notice asking not to feed them, sitting in the rose garden soaking up the sun, walking the Japanese walk, touring the Victorian kitchen garden. A bus back to town and lunch in a very couth place - food was beautifully cooked. The evening was spent with the 2 aunts (actually only just older than me) talking family history and telling stories about things we remembered, everything a first hearing for my daughter, and quite a lot of it new to the other adults too.
