Sally Mair - Loving life

Happy Thinking Day - so here's something to think about!

There are more and more defibrillators appearing all the time which is great A few years ago I attended a course on how to use one and couldn't believe how easy it was.
You actually can't do anything wrong if you ever do have to use one. It's all guided - and if the machine detects a pulse it won't shock the heart.
It was good to have a refresher on CPR too. Again, you can't actually do any harm if someone is already not breathing you are not going to make them worse.
I heard on the radio today that the British Heart Foundation had produced an online 15 minute training course on how to use a defibrillator. I went online and did it when I got home and felt glad to have had the reminder. Sadly the cushion I practiced my CPR on has not started breathing independently. I'll try again though and keep my skills fresh!
I'm going to put the link to the training below.
Please do it if you have 15 minutes to spare, that's all it takes and it certainly can't do any harm.
