Well Earned

After a few days of decorating and dismantling, moving and rebuilding furniture (we’ve turned our spare room into a study), we decided we deserved lunch out as a treat.

We nearly didn’t get to go when our normally trustworthy car wouldn’t start. It’s a hybrid and all sort of odd warning messages appeared and then all the lights on the display started flickering. We switched it off and on again several times and eventually it started. It may have got damp electrics perhaps? Then we had to drive through heavy rain, along partially flooded roads to finally get to Burnham Market.

It was all worth it though. Our meal was delicious and we were sat opposite the pass (they have an open kitchen), so we could watch all the chefs at work…complete poetry in motion. This was our chocolate and salted caramel dessert, very tasty indeed. We’ll definitely be going back to ‘Socius’ again.
