Portobello Beach again
This afternoon we popped down to Porty to see our friend. He fell down on Friday night and has a massive black eye and a very bruised face. Having said that, the bruise was very purple & black on Sat and now it's starting to turn yellow.
Anyway, he's not really up to meeting his public just now, so Ann plated him up the remains of yesterday's lunch, which was chicken & leek gratin in a creamy cider sauce, with broccoli, savoy cabbage & mini sweetcorns. She should set up her own business delivering home cooked meals to old people. Lol! She also went and did a little bit of shopping for him and then said, 'Trixie, you might as well come with me and then we'll go and play with your ball on Porty Beach.' So that is what we did.
Unfortunately for me, he has a very old cat, who doesn't like dogs, so I never, ever get taken into his house. I'm scared of cats so it's not like I'd try and chase her or anything. But as Ann says; it's the cat's home and she doesn't want it invaded by a bouncy Collie pup.
It was a beautiful afternoon so our friend decided that he wanted to go out and get a bit of fresh air, but he's not really up to meeting his public just now, so he came with us and sat and read his book in the car while I went for an hour's play on the beach.
It was like a summer's day. Well almost. It was actually very windy on the beach but I had such a good time running around after my ball.
…..............And that's been our day..........................
Happy Wednesday Evening Blippers. xx
