Presidents’ Day
Today is a federal holiday here in the US. It was originally established in 1885 in honor of George Washington’s birthday, our first President, but in 1968 the date was changed to the third Monday of February to honor all of our presidents • Both George and Abraham Lincoln were February babies. George would be 292 years old, and Abe, 215, just 77 years between them • I thought it apropos to blip the female bluebird today, on this Presidents’ Day, when we honor all of our presidents, 46 male presidents. I do hope I live long enough to see the first female US President elected • Peace & Love
