Parkrun

The newest member of the parkrun family arrived this week and her proud parents brought her to meet us all at parkrun. What a delight!

I found parkrun a challenge, only managing to jog the first 1 and a half laps. Best that i could manage after my illness this week. Lap 2, I walked and chatted to a lovely lady who, as it turned out was one of the DofE volunteers mother's.  We shared parkrun stories and I was pleased to walk along with her. 

Later, after our breakfast we rested, reading and lounging on the couch for the afternoon. 

Later, I met the Maldon Gig Rowing team for a sunset row. We rowed to Northey Island and returned after dusk to see the Quay and town lit up beautifully.  A real experience. 

The evening we watched the final of the Masked Singer. I really enjoyed the duets and I shall be listening to McFly more closely in the future. Early to bed as I am exhausted.
