Yarrow Valley

We went out this morning to do a recce for the next parish walk. It started really well but then got VERY muddy (see extra). We persevered, although we did cut one section out when there was a very easy shortcut. A dog, called Sid, adopted us at one point as we passed his house and insisted on following us quite a way. He even led the way and pointed out the direction when we needed to turn left. We wondered what to do but thankfully his owner did come and find him.
We then moved on to Bygone Times, an extremely large antique/bric-a-brac warehouse. After a light lunch in the cafe we had a good look around, although we didn't mange to cover it all. We moved on to Heskin Hall Shopping village, which has about 40 little boutique shops. We had another good wander around and then headed home for a Chinese take-away before Huddsbird returned home.
Physivic enjoyed the day out too.
