Last time I got the bus to Lewknor and headed upwards ignoring all signposts I had glorious views from the top of a bit of the Chilterns. Today D came with me and we followed the Ridgeway signs. I had no idea that the Ridgeway path didn't go along the ridge and that when we tried to get upwards we'd be blocked by barbed wire. Next time I'll bring a map.
It was a gentle amble not a hike but I was still exhausted when I got home. I need to walk more.
