Kathi as Bird

Our weekly get-together was not to knit, but to visit the newly renamed bird sanctuary now called the Bird Alliance of Oregon. Not as easily rolled off your tongue as Audubon, but just as enjoyable to visit. Then we had lunch at the long-time favorite spot nearby, Skyline Burgers. Always a warm, fun, and meaningful time together. Then I came home and learned my dear sister Kathi died in the afternoon. Suddenly where are the words, and even the tears; it's still so shocking. I go around wanting to touch everything. Kathi loved fabrics and clothing, especially stripes, so Ms Downy here becomes rather fitting.
