Another brilliant jeep safari

Yes, I’ve done this trip before. It’s marvellous. We head off from a bar in Tabua, just above Ribeira Brava. Fuelled by coffee, we negotiate a dramatic off road section up to the top of the plateau looking across at the highest peaks.

On across the top of the world to the Parque Forestal Fanal…..a world of mystical ancient Laurissilva trees……
I’ve never seen this spot without mist and the clear blue skies and glorious clouds gave a whole new dimension.

Black sand beaches.
Lava pools.

A great group and a fabulous day……

Yes. I’ll do it again.

(And my friend, new to Madeira, also loved it.)
