Shipwrecked

Elissa and I ran to Claire's during lunch and bought some really cute stuff for The Color Run that I can't wait to wear! Suspenders, fuzzy headbands, and sunglasses. We're gonna look so colorful next Sunday!

Lisamarie met me in the city after work and we headed over to Discovery Times Square's Shipwrecked exhibit about uncovering shipwrecks and pirates. It was really interesting. We learned about two awesome sounding female pirates: Anne Bonny and Mary Read, stood in a wind simulator that created winds of up to 78 MPH which is how fast winds get in a category 1 hurricane, saw loads of silver and gold that was uncovered from shipwrecks, and learned about the machinery that they use down on the ocean floor when uncovering a shipwreck.

After walking through the exhibit, we ate at the Hard Rock Café, one of my favorite restaurants and I finally bought my New York pin. This is a shot of a wall made out of guitars in the restaurant. The train on the way home had zero air conditioning and it was miserably hot.
