one woman and her dog

Well, not quite my dog. Dad's dog, but I'm looking after him for a few days.

Took him for a wander this morning round to the shop to get a croissant and a pain au chocolat. The man who works there said they'd none in just yet but if I waited for a few minutes, I'd get some...they needed to go and pick them up from the local bakery.

I took Leo for a walk nearby to pass some time, then the shop guy offered me a coffee while I waited. Lovely :)

Mum and dad are at Wimbledon today. They were in Court No. 1. I watched the first two matches, Del Potro v Ramos and Robson v Kirilenko, hoping to see mum and dad in the crowd, but no joy! Was great to think they were actually there as I watched the points go by, the challenges made, the ball boys and girls doing their amazing job. Class!

Walked to the garden with Leo about 6pm. Watered and weeded for a couple of hours and then planted a couple of tomatoes. Everything's looking pretty good. I was down there in jeans, a jumper and boots this evening. Definitely not the normal weather for this time of year!

Leo and I went along the apricot path after we'd been at the garden. That's where I got this picture. Spoke to Pierre and Carrie on the phone whilst I walked.

Leo has been sneezing like mad since our walk. Have checked his nose but there doesn't seem to be anything stuck in it. Fingers crossed he's better by tomorrow.

Chatted to Tash on Skype tonight and then mum and dad came on to tell me how today went. They were both in great form - said the atmosphere was phenomenal and everyone around the venue was extremely friendly. They ate and drank well too...including the ubiquitous strawberries and cream!
