Queen of the Night orchid cactus

It's time for my annual blip of this magnificent and enormous flower. This year we had three blooms, the first opening last night and the other two tonight. By the next morning they are adroop. One night only.

I wish I could transmit to you the scent. I'm still enjoying it, the plant on the verandah, the back doors open, I'm two rooms in and to me it wafts. It is exotic, an alcohol, a fruit punch. You really have to be here. 

The extra is of the bud this afternoon in its last stage before opening, holding great promise.
