A Patriotic Fly Past

Today's shot was another image 'accomplished' by pure luck rather than any judgement on my part. I'd been on a local photographic safari with my brother and had spotted nothing at all and it was only when we were nearly back home that we stopped off at the Royal British Legion village and I thought I would attempt some shots of the Union Jack flag fluttering in the wind. After several attempts I wasn't particularly happy with the outcome but just as I took one last photo a passing aircraft (o.k it's tiny I know and therefore it's obviously better viewed large!) caught a shaft of sunlight giving it a rather ghostly glow and I knew I had my image.
