Dog Days Are Over
Today we thought we would head out for another local photographic safari to challenge ourselves to get an image on as short a walk as possible from home.
My brother had already got his shot in the nearby memorial garden at the Royal British Legion Village and I was beginning to lose hope when for some reason the recycling skips in the car park of one of our local supermarkets caught my attention.
I was originally attracted (not sure that's the right word!) by their bright orange hue. When I then looked behind one of the skips I saw this poor abandoned little pooch cast adrift in a sea of detritus. The two small labels alongside him only added to the sense of pathos - I'm pretty sure he wasn't feeling top trumps and was in need of much more than an authentic wash!
