HYGC Maldon Gig Rowing Club Event

I volunteered at Junior parkrun first thing, giving out tokens and encouraging the runners. It was a good event with lots of runners and volunteers enjoying the good weather. 

I had coffee with G, C and A in the dog walkers' cafe. We chatted about the Scotland game and As team Spurs. Afterwards we went to the Quay to see the Gig racing that Maldon Gig Rowing Club had laid on. It was a great timed event with 13 clubs taking part and over 20 Gigs. There were 3 races against the clock each leaving in pairs. Mixed, Ladies and Mens. We were able to shout our support from the bank and enjoy the race. I am very tempted to be more involved next season. Ready Ladies came first, which was super.
