The Face

This morning Dylan and I went to Skypark for a tour and meeting with Alan Shaw and Laura Boomer at the Centre for Advanced Textiles (CAT) at the GSA. The Centre was established in 2000 with a Research Development Grant from the Scottish Funding Council to pursue advanced research in digital textile design and printing. CAT places the relationships between research, knowledge transfer and learning at the heart of its mission. It is amazing seeing beautiful textile designs being created using state of the art technology. You can see some of the classic textile designs here.

This afternoon we had a meeting with Sarah Lee at the Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre, to organise some puppet shows and workshops later in the year. Whilst there I took a few shots of some of the puppets.
