Timaru

Continuing south from Christchurch, with beautiful scenery; mountains on the right, coast on the left, fields of lavender & sunflowers.  Found a gem of an Airbnb near Timaru - lovely little cabin overlooking fields, and could actually see the snow-covered Aoraki Mount Cook (3724m) in the distance. 

The host provided lots of extras, including eggs from their own hens … such a nice touch. 

Enjoyed a long walk round Centennial Park, then a quiet, comfy night in the countryside.
