Portrait of a Waxwing

I was feeling much better today, so I ventured forth in the hope of seeing the waxwings. I was thrilled to see that all eight of them were hanging out at the 'mistletoe' tree :)

In the afternoon, I went in search of owls. A much less successful trip but at least I now know where to look!

I stopped off at a friend's for a couple of hours on the way home. So good to catch up over a hot cup of coffee.
