Trembling Mesentery ...

... is the translation of the scientific name for this fungus that appears on dead wood in wet weather. 

My late mother-in-law sustained very bad abdominal injuries in a car crash. When the surgeon was discussing possible treatment with me he sketched the mesentery. I'd never heard of it. He explained that it is an organ which attaches the intestines to the abdominal wall. Hers had been badly torn.
