High water

Rained all night.  Stepped out to avoid the bog of the garden for a quick dog walk this morning.

Stopped raining when I cycled to town.

The lock on the river was full.  I don't think I've seen it that high before.  Heard a dog walker walking over the bridge mutter that sentiment.

Rain resumed when we had our second dog walk.  

Chilling now with Radio 4's Add to Playlist.  

The week has disappeared so quickly.  Looking forward to a quiet weekend sans drilling, sawing, banging.  I feel the noise is exhausting as attempting to block it out becomes tiring.

Just finished reading Notes on a Scandal by Sarah Vaughan which was an enjoyable read.  Now going to read Jonathan Coe's Bournville.
