I met Cyndy (Jims sister) downtown for a good catch-up and especially to commemorate Jim. It's been a year since he died, and he would've been 71 in two weeks. She told me how she and Don take the trolley from their place in the Pearl, to the Woodlark Hotel where they have coffee in a quiet library nook in the hotel just to get out of the house for awhile. I hadn't even heard of the place, so I walked past it on my way to the train for home. I used to work downtown and spent many lunchbreaks wandering around, but never registered this building (it was the Cornelius Hotel from 1908 until 2018). See the Extra. I'm willing to bet most people won't notice it either, since they built the shiny and huge new Ritz-Carlton right next to it. Always something new to see.
