One Street - Peaceful

This particular stretch of One Street, between Walton Hall bridge and Hough's Lane bridge, is a favourite of mine. There is a canopy of trees that offers some shade. On the right are the grounds of Walton Hall, formerly the home of the Grenall brewing family and now in the ownership of the local council.

I had to wait a little while for a boat to come into the scene. I would have preferred a more brightly painted one.

While I was waiting a gentleman strolled slowly along the towpath towards me. As he passed me he said "It is so peaceful along here." He was right.
