Quadruple Gold - Bonus Jay

I went out with the dogs around 07:30 this morning as it was forecast to snow/rain/sleet from 08:00

It was quite gloomy, with thick cloud cover, but the precipitation held off until almost 9, so we stayed dry. Walked 3.7 miles! The rain developed into sleet, then snow which eventually began to settle

After lunch the feeders in the garden were alive with birds - managed to catch these four goldfinches at once!

There were several blue tits, a couple of green finches, great tits - one of which is lining up top left ready to jump in! There were also robins and chaffinches. it was like musical chairs on the feeder perches.

A blackbird was running around on the ground.

A nice little splash of colour on a grey day.

EDIT - a bonus bird appeared shortly after posting my blip - so have added as an extra - a lovely jay
