Sleeping sheep
Another sunny day. Another day ironing and then gardening. (Assuming I get round to the gardening).
Mrs O works from home and I persuaded her to take a fifteen-minute walk in her lunch break around the 'village loop' - a short circular walk, probably a little under a mile, around our village. At one point, where you have to go through a gate, we found these sheep resting in the shade. A couple of them had pretty bad fly-strike, which was sad - hopefully their owner will sort it out soon.
We wanted to take a look at the field that our garden backs onto. It's for sale - along with the 50-acre farm it's a part of. We've been mulling over approaching the owner to see if they'll separate off the one field and sell it to us - although we probably couldn't afford it even if they would. Seeing it in the sun, and seeing these sheep (we'd keep sheep on it) made us think some more about it. We probably won't do anything about it, though. I struggle just to get out into the garden most days. Owning more land probably isn't that good an idea for us.
