So stressed. Poor me. Woke up too early. Couldn’t go back to sleep. 

2022 Baykal, a drone company in Turkey, donated three drones to Ukraine. A huge Lithuanian crowd-funding campaign raised enough money, in DAYS, ($20 million in three days) to buy several, but then the company donated them. The company asked that the money be donated to humanitarian causes. (Russia was not happy. The fund raised more money, the company then offered FIVE drones.)

Ukraine loves these drones. Ukrainians wrote a patriotic, expletive laced song abut the drones called, “Bayraktar, Bayraktar.” 

Later in 2022 the company donated more drones, truckloads of humanitarian assistance, and sent 140 Ukrainian children to camp for a week. They gave scholarships to 30 university students. They sold more drones at half price. 

Last year the company donated a drone to the country in honor of its Independence Day. 

This year they started building a factory near Kyiv that will employ around 500 people. 



Ecuador decided to ship arms to Ukraine. The US made a $200 million deal to exchange Ecuador’s Soviet-era weaponry for modern US equipment. Russia decided to ban Ecuadorian bananas. Ecuador supplies 90% of Russia’s bananas.
